I came to the small community of Leakey when I was just 5yrs. old. My mother’s family settled near here in the Reagan Wells area in the early 1900’s. I was raised on a large exotic ranch, called “The Rose Ranch” and fell in love with the beautiful hill country, the Frio River and many home town friends I will cherish forever. Every day was an adventure, learning new deer trails up the mountains, finding salamanders, crawdads, & tadpoles in the creek, and finishing every summer day with a dip in the natural swimming hole near the fishing lake. What a life!
After spending 11 years in the Leakey ISD Special Education Department as a teacher’s aide and driving the school bus, I decided to continue my college education by going to night school at Uvalde Jr. College and Sul Ross State University Rio Grande College. I married my best friend, Dub Suttle in 2001, and we opened Suttle and Company Real Estate in January of 2003. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience of the hill country with you and I understand when you tell me your reasons to want to look for that perfect property in this beautiful Texas hill country. It doesn’t matter how many times I show a property, I seem to find something special each time and I never get tired of the scenery.
I manage the real estate office, co-Broker with my husband, Dub, and whenever the opportunity comes, I enjoy showing properties. I hold the GRI designation certificate which is awarded to REALTORS® through the Texas Association of REALTORS® by the National Association of REALTORS. This is but one of many quality education programs that allow me as a REALTOR® to increase my knowledge base, enhance my professional stature, and better serve you, the client. I am a past board member of the Frio Canyon Chamber of Commerce and currently serving as the Leakey United Methodist Church treasure to which we are members. I enjoy being involved as a volunteer to serve refreshments at the Friends of Garner hayride each week during the summer. I am an active member & officer of the Eastern Star Chapter 18 and we both are supporters and sponsor of the Leakey Little League Baseball, Real County Livestock Show, the Leakey Independent School District.
We both have children and together we enjoy all seven along with their spouses and girlfriends as well as their combined 6 grandchildren. When we are not spending time with real estate or family, we love to travel, garden, listen to old & true country & western music and cherish our “quiet time” at our home in the Frio Canyon hill country. |
